Ardoisée de Lyon
Hybrid Perpetual; Damaizin, 1858

Date Planted: Summer 2001
Source: Mail Order
Exposure: Full sun

This plant is shorter and more compact than the 'typical' Hybrid Perpetual, growing to about 4' to 5' tall by about 3' wide. Wide full flowers with an informal button eye, deep rose pink, paling to lavender and slatey mauve. Outstanding fragrance.

In it's third year it finally took off and grew. It is now an attractive, compact, bushy 3-footer. It blooms remarkably well, with very good repeat... and it smells every bit as good as it looks like it should!
