Belle Story
English Rose, Shrub; Austin, 1984

Date Planted: Spring 2003
Source: Trade

A bit of a departure from the 'typical' petal-packed English Rose, 'Belle Story' has a charm all her own. The ruffled, semidouble 4" to 5" blooms are a luminous warm pink with a golden center that highlights a boss of stamens. The fragrance is pleasantly spicy, although not overpowering. The flirtatious blooms are borne in sprays on an upright, bushy, disease resistant shrub approximately 3' to 5' tall and wide. The repeat is outstanding, too.
