Chief Seattle Hybrid Tea, Swim, 1951Date Planted: 5/2000
Source: Vintage Gardens Exposure: Full sun
This gorgeous old Hybrid Tea has long since disappeared from most nursery's lists. It isn't the easiest rose to grow - on its own
roots it is rather slow to get established and to gain any size. The blooms are absolutely incredible, though - very large flowers from pointed buds, straw yellow shaded old gold and touched with terracotta deep
within. Stunning, and extremely fragrant too. It's definitely worth the extra effort, and deserves to be saved from extinction. To see more photos, visit the Photo Gallery!
