The category "Climbing Rose" is actually a catch-all for roses that throw long canes that can be tied to supports in order to grow them on large expanses.  They come in almost all shapes and sizes, from huge rambling species roses to sports of modern hybrids.  The climbing roses featured in this section are of modern heritage; my collection of  Climbing Old Garden Roses has grown large enough to merit their own section..
