Clotilde Soupert, Cl.
Polyantha

The climbing sport of the diminuitive polyantha by the same name, 'Clothilde soupert, Cl.' is an adorable rose. Very round, very double flowers of Victorian perfection, pale blush with a lilac-pink heart, in fat clusters of intense fragrance.

This is a somewhat lofty rose, although it isn't as vigorous as many and isn't in a hurry to outgrow its support. It does have an unfortunate tendency to ball and mildew is a problem during cool, wet springs but the summer blooms make it all worth while.
