The Ultimate Rose Book reads: "The name to be preferred is 'Elina': 'Peaudouce', even if it is the name the raiser uses, is a brand of baby diapers.  This is where the commercial sponsorship of roses can lead!  The rose itself is a beauty - large, shapely and delicate in its tones of white and lemon.  For a flower so large and pale, it is quite tolerant of wet weather. The bush is strong, with large, dark green, glossy foliage, and is average in height.  The fragrance is only slight."

This is a lovely, healthy and bloomiferous rose! The plant is attractive too - dense, shrubby and well-foliated. It does extremely well without spraying. It has Rose Mosaic Virus, but I am given to understand that all plants in commerce are virused. It sure doesn't seem to affect its vigor anyway - this is a big rose. I imagine it would be a monster if it weren't virused.
