Gruss an Coburg Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana, 1927, J. Felberg-Leclerc. Planted: Summer 2001 Source: Uncommon Rose Exposure: Full sun
This rose is really growing on me. In it's third year it has become quite a prolific bloomer.
The blooms are quite colorful, apricot to buff that shade to salmon at times; in certain season palest buff, nearly white, and without shading. The color is saturated without being garish.
The fragrance is amazing, a penetrating citrus & rose fragrance. The big surprise was the healthy foliage, as the Pernetiana Hybrid Teas are not noted for foliar health.
Once mature, seems to do best with a "Hybrid Tea Haircut" at Spring pruning time. To see more photos, visit the Photo Gallery!
