Heritage is one of the most popular of the English Roses, and arguably one of the best.  Although I've heard that this rose doesn't perform well in very warm climates, it is wonderfully content to thrive in my part of the country.

The blooms are a perfect cup formation; a soft, clear pink in the center, with outer petals that are almost white.  It has a wonderful myrrh fragrance, repeats well, and is quite disease resistant.  The ARS has rate this rose "Excellent".

In my garden this is a very healthy 5' tall shrub.  Alhough not densely foliated, it has a graceful vase-shaped habit and is a prolific bloomer.  It's major fault is it's poor performance as a cut flower, for the blooms tend to shatter quickly.  It is so lovely and smells so good that I still cut blooms for indoors and enjoy them for a day or two.  After all, I can always cut more.
