Marriage is Like a Garden
by Robin Lowe Delargy

A marriage starts with fertile soil.
Every feeling, every experience, shared or not, plants a seed.

Some seeds grow into flowers, some into weeds.
The trick is in recognizing the difference.

Pull the weeds, or they will take over your garden,
destroying it's beauty.

A little manure, judiciously applied, will fertilize your garden.
Too much shit will kill it.

Planting a garden is a joy; tending it is work.
Strive to make it a labor of love.

A garden must be watered; when it is watered with tears,
make sure some are tears of joy.

Your garden can bring a lifetime of shared pleasure.
Tend it together and tend it well.

Don't be afraid to cut the flowers;
if your garden is healthy, they will grow back.

Be sure to grow enough to share.

May your marriage blossom and grow, forever.
