Martine Guillot (MASmabay)
Generosa rose; Guillot-Massad (1997, France)Date Planted: April 16, 1999 Source: Arena, local nursery
Exposure: Full sun all day
The Arena catalog reads: "One of the new Generosa roses from Rosaraie Guillot, Martine Guillot is a unique shrub that offers
sprays of creamy buds that open to deeply cupped blooms blushed with the softest apricot. The sprays have a long life in the vase. The foliage is dark and glossy. On a cool day the scent reminds
one of fresh gardenias. The bush has a lax, arching habit. Commemorates the lovely wife of Jean-Pierre Guillot." This rose is a monster! Easily reaching 5'-6' tall and wide, and
covered with blooms. Extremely healthy and very vigorous. I moved it Spring 2003 - it was too close to the sidewalk and no matter how often and severly I
whacked it back, it was quickly molesting the pedestrians again. She has moved to a spot where she has room to stretch and I'm sure we'll all be much happier for it. To see more photos, visit the Photo Gallery!
