New Dawn (sport of 'Dr. W. Van Fleet')
Wichurana Hybrid; Dreer, 1930Date Planted: Summer 1997 Source: Cutting Exposure: Full sun
This is a lovely rose, with small, bright green foliage and semi-double flowers of silky blush pink. The petals are arranged loosely in a manner that
resembles a small Hybrid Tea. The rebloom is quite reliably regular, with a soft and attractive fruity scent. New Dawn is a climber, and capable of climbing to a height of 15' or so. I am
growing it into a Golden Chain tree; so far it has reached about 12' or so in height. It's taken longer than it should because I really didn't feed and water it enough the first few years. Once it
started receiving regular care it's taken off like a rocket - new canes everywhere. This is a very vigorous rose! To see more photos, visit the Photo Gallery!
