The Last Rose of Summer

This truly ancient rose is one of the four seminal "stud" roses introduced from Asia to Europe at the end of the eighteenth century. Informal blush pink flowers deep in color with age, a common trait among China roses. The fragrance is moderate, but pleasant.

Old Blush needs several years to build up into a substantial bush. 2003 is it's third year and it's beginning to throw much thicker basal canes. That's a good thing.
