Papa Gontier
Tea; Nabonnand, 1883

Date Planted: Summer 2002
Source: Trade

This charming Tea rose has taken its time getting established, but began growing well in 2003. The semidouble blooms are a marvelous, rich, bright pink that really pops in the garden. The growth is typical Tea rose - twiggy and well foliated, with bronze new growth. It's supposed to reach about 4' tall but I expect it to take a few more years to reach that size.
