Perdita (AUSperd) 'The Friar' x (seedling x '
Iceberg') Austin, 1983Date Planted: March 3, 1998 Source: Armstrong Roses Exposure: Full sun all day
This rose is well regarded in the Pacific Northwest, where the relatively mild maritime climate allows maximum growth without the temperature stress of hotter/colder climates.
Perdita is a neat, tidy looking shrub with an upright yet bushy form. The flowers are soft pink in the center, and almost white at the outer petals. This ages to blush-pink, flushed with yellow at
the base of the petals. The spicy aroma prompted the British Royal National Rose Society to award a medal for fragrance in 1984. To see more photos, visit the Photo Gallery! Return to English Roses
