Safrano
Tea; Beauregard, 1839

Date Planted: April 2001
Source: Trade
Exposure: Full sun

Soft apricot-yellow and salmon blend smoothly in this rose. For color and simple charm, this rose is a memento of the early Teas and still one of the finest. Outstanding fragrance, and very fast rebloom.  I don't spray and she will get a bit of mildew, but it certainly doesn't slow her down.

This rose displays the typical open, branching, twiggy Tea rose growth pattern.  Some may not care for this, but I find it charming - very light, delicate and airy.  In fact, the nodding flowers amost seem to dance at the end of exceptionally slender stems. Definitely a favorite so far.
