Sun Goddess
Hybrid Tea ('Sunbright' x Seedling); Warriner (1993 in United States)

Date Planted:  May 1996
Source:  Jackson & Perkins, potted
Exposure:  Full sun all day

This lovely Hybrid Tea is out of commerce. Why, I have no idea; it's a lovely rose and remakably healthy for a yellow Hybrid Tea (the genetic contribution that introduced the bright, chromium yellow and saturated orange colors is also to blame for much of the disease susceptability of so many Hybrid Tea roses.) She will get some blackspot (I do not spray) but does not defoliate and quickly bounces back. I'm very please with this one.

Shrubby and vigorous to about 4' tall or so, with lots of large, leathery dark green foliage and generous blooms. The 3" flowers are lightly scented and last well when cut; fabulous in arrangements! She blooms in flushes; in my garden I can count on at least three solid bloom cycles per season.
