Sweet Chariot
Miniature; Ralph Moore, 1984

Date Planted: Summer 2001
Source: Mail Order

This is a fabulous mini. In fact, I like it so much I'm growing two of them - they anchor the corners of a kidney-shaped raised bed.

An incredibly prolific bloomer, Sweet Chariot has another big plus - it is fragrant! Very fragrant, in fact. The plants are very attractive - bush, dense and well foliated, with an attractive semi-weeping habit. Great in a hanging planter.

Disease resistant is pretty decent in my no-spray garden - it does spot a bit, but doesn't defoliate. Sweet Chariot is one of my top three favorite minis, along with Jeanne Lajoie and Popcorn.
