Sydonie (Sidonie)
Hybrid Perpetual; Vibert, 1847

Planted: March 2003
Souce: local nursery

I picked this up Spring 2003 from a local nursery, rather rootbound in a 2-gallon pot. It is doing remarkably well now that it's in the ground - constantly in bloom (what a fragrance!) and growing by leaps and bounds. The color is quite saturated when the bloom first ioens, then quickly softens in hue. I like the form of the plant, graceful and arching. The foliage has remained quite healthy so far, too. I'm really looking forward to watching her grow.
