A 1989 introduction from Kordes of Germany, 'Valencia' is a
"knocks your socks off" rose - there's something very, very special about these flowers. This is an absolutely outstanding cutting rose! The exhibition-style blooms are enormous - up to 6
inches and presented on long, strong stems. The color is a luminous golden apricot 'Orange Cremesicle' hue. The award-winning fragrance is powerfully sweet and fruity without being the least bit cloying
and the petals are thick and almost waxy, giving this rose an incredibly long vase life. 'Valencia' is a healthy rose, too. I don't spray and it does get a little bit of blackspot once
in a while, but nothing to get excited about. Grows to a manageble 4 feet or so - a convenient height for sniffing. The growth habit is stereotypical Hybrid Tea. Grow this one for the breathtaking flowers! Return to Hybrid Tea Roses |
