Yolande d'Aragon Hybrid Perpetual
Date Planted: Summer 2001 Source: Uncommon Rose Exposure: Full sun
An ancient sort of HP; stout, upright branches, a compact display of small clusters of very full
deep pink flowers. The rich array of petals forms half-globes, flat side on top. Long-lasting as a cut flower. The fragrance is the sort that
inspires poets - rich, potent, and very rosey. Disease resistance seems good for its class. The plant, however, is awkward - tall, stiff, thorny canes, too stiff to peg - definitely
a plant for the back of the border. I may experiment with hard pruning. This one is a real stunner! To see more photos, visit the Photo Gallery! Return to Hybrid Perpetual Roses
