Zulu Queen Hybrid Tea; Kordes, 1939
Date Planted: Spring 2003 (potted) Source: Uncommon Rose
There is remarkably little information available about this rose (I've looked!) so I look forward to the opportunity to
contribute to the knowledge pool over time. So far, Zulu Queen has impressed me. The vigor appears to be quite good, the foliage has remained healthy and the blooms are far lovelier
than these lousy photo implies. They are a deep, dark red - very velvety in appearance - with a lovely, deep, rich fragrance. I can't wait to see how it does, as this rose is quite rare in commerce. To see more photos, visit the Photo Gallery!
